Moonstruck

I went out for a walk, and i looked to the sky
Turned to the moon in the three quarter phase,
What is this pull that’s pulling me?
Moonstruck, i was lost in a daze

Been dragged by the collar, drugged by her charms
She was the waitress, that had me beggin’ for more

Turned to the sun, floating in summer waves
Hanging like a stranger, lost on the shore
White moths appear from summer grasses dear
Moonstruck, i was lot in your ways

Dragged by the collar, drugged by her charms
She was the dealer, had me screamin’ for more

Fluttering like a wayward moth, i appear at your door
In hand, picked daisies and dandelions for your hair
What is this pull that’s pulling me?
Moonstruck, i was lost in your stare.

    1. Thank you I appreciate that. It sat for a while unfinished and I added a stanza, still though it felt like I had to work a little too hard at it…

      1. Yes, that happens. Sometimes it’s weeks, even months … 🙂

      2. In this case months, but something brought it back up, so here we are! 😊
